ADVANCED DIGITAL THREAT ASSESSMENT®
• Full-day virtual training session
• *Prerequisite: SST Digital Threat Assessment® (within the past two years)
The DCJS Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety in conjunction with Safer Schools Together is pleased to announce the following training opportunity to help behavioral threat assessment team members better recognize and respond to today’s challenges from worrisome digital content contained on varied social media platforms. The training will be held virtually and attendance is limited to 100 attendees who meet the prerequisite requirement (see above).
Description:
Advanced Digital Threat Assessment® (DTA) builds and expands significantly on the content covered during the prerequisite DTA training. Participants will gain concrete understanding of how to select relevant digital information found in real-life School Safety / Threat Assessment (SS/TA) data gathering scenarios. Working collaboratively through case scenarios based on real-life situations, teams navigate the social media world using both familiar and new techniques. Trainers will share standard operating procedures as participants work towards a final practice assignment by applying tools and lessons learned. Participants will leave feeling confident in their ability to independently establish the Digital Behavioral Baseline of a subject of concern (SOC) and produce a comprehensive report.
