The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services is pleased to announce this virtual “Duty to Intervene” training presented by Blue to Gold Law Enforcement Training, LLC.
The purpose of this course is to train officers and agencies to identify when they are legally required to get involved. The result will be decreased liability and improved officer wellness. Law enforcement officers need this course as they are prone to liability and work in a highly charged environment. Failure to intervene when necessary will jeopardize an officer’s job and freedom. It is not only important for an officer to go home at night, but to go home to their own bed, not a prison. This training is a tool, just like a firearm or handcuffs.
While this class is virtual, there will be a live instructor who will answer questions and encourage class participation.
