The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce “Proactive and Undercover Investigations” training, presented by JP Nixon Consulting.
Course Description:
This training covers the art of intelligence gathering, and law enforcements practical need to build cases that will stand up in court. Presented in a multimedia format that includes real-life case studies, film, and television as examples to aid in the understanding of the concepts being taught, the course is a thorough survey of the tools available and methods employed by investigators working proactive and long-term cases. Students will learn how to build effective undercover operations and how far they can push their undercover role and the scheme being employed.

Who Should Attend:
This training is available to sworn law enforcement officers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Partial In-service Credit:
Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for Virginia law enforcement officers will be available.
Travel, Lodging, and Meals:
Transportation, lodging and meals are the responsibility of the participant.
Training Time & Details:
Sign in begins at 7:30 a.m.
Training begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 4:00 p.m. each day
Cost and Registration:
There is no fee to attend this training, however pre-registration is required.
Please note the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
