The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services DCJS) is pleased to offer two opportunities to attend “Resiliency Training for First Responders”, presented by Phoenix Resilience.
The founders of Phoenix Resilience endeavor to improve individuals’ lives and organizational productivity by addressing culture, reducing burnout, and mitigating the effects of trauma. We leverage the evidenced based techniques we developed throughout our careers.
This curriculum was developed by First Responders and Veterans who have extensive experience in the work, and their own personal struggles with mental health. Instructors will share their stories of resilience and the tools they used to survive.
Resilience solves the largest organizational challenges such as individual wellness, stress, burnout and navigating change. Resilience is an essential part of a healthy thriving team. Resilience is especially important for individuals and teams in high-stress dynamic environments that experience regular trauma.
Due to the unique nature of the extremely dynamic and stressful first responder career-field, they endure tremendous amounts of trauma with little to no recognition. Phoenix Resilience guides participants through finding the value in their traumas and decreasing the impact of future events.
