The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) in collaboration with Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) is pleased to announce the “Responding to Fentanyl and Other Current Drug Trends” training to be held in Chesterfield, VA. 

This is a free workshop on Fentanyl Identification and Other Synthetic Drug Trends in the Field presented by Thermo Fisher Scientific.

  • Methamphetamine Trends

  • Opioid Trends – Fentanyl issues

  • TruNarcIntroduction and Administration

  • Analogues and Other Synthetic Trends

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Naloxone/Narcan

Who should attend?

This training is open to sworn law enforcement officers, campus security officers and school security officers. 

Partial In-service Credit

Partial In-service Credit (PIC) for Virginia law enforcement officers will be available.   

Cost

There is no cost to attend this training, however pre-registration is required.  

Travel, Lodging and Meals

Participants are responsible for their transportation and lodging arrangements and expenses. Lunch will be provided.  

Training Time and Details

  • Course will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
