The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce the School-Based Crisis Management Virtual Roundtable (formerly known as School Division Emergency Manager’s Roundtable).
This session is open to all school division emergency managers, school administrators and staff across the Commonwealth, as well as first responders. This event is intended for individuals who are responsible for crisis management planning and preparation in schools. This virtual roundtable will provide an overview of recent legislative changes, specific areas of interest or concern, and new/updated resources and training opportunities.
This program is intended to create a collaborative environment to foster the sharing of tips, tools, and information through discussion of relevant issues with others, new and experienced, in the crisis management field. DCJS staff will be on hand to moderate and guide the agenda at each session which will include a brief overview of legislative changes impacting crisis management and other agenda items as provided by stake holders.
There is no fee to attend this webinar series. Pre-registration is required.
Registrants will receive an email with instructions for joining the webinar prior to the event.
Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
