Apply for a License/Registration

How to Apply for a DCJS Registration or License

Step 1: Application

Create an account or login to your existing account to begin your new initial application.

Step 2: Fingerprints

Follow the instructions received on the receipt page of your online application to have your fingerprints scanned at a Fieldprint location near you.

  • Fieldprint has locations all across the United States
  • Fieldprint charges a fingerprint processing and collection fee at the time of registration

Step 3: Training

All registrations and licenses issued by DCJS require training (except for Tow Truck Drivers).

  • Specific training requirements of each program: go to the main page and select your program under the “Licenses, Regulations and Certifications” box.
  • Search for training schools in your area: click here.  Choose the training you need under “Category” and enter your location in the “City” field.
  • All initial applications require in-person classroom training.
