Description
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce: “Violent Extremism 101.” This workshop is presented in cooperation with and led by training staff from the Anti-Defamation League.
Participants will learn how to identify vital indicators of progression from extremist ideology towards motivation to commit violent extremist acts. Beginning with a foundational knowledge of key terms and concepts related to violent extremism, participants will expand their understanding of violent extremism, their appreciation for the threat’s gravity, and the role they play in addressing it. Violent Extremism 101 is an interactive, discussion-based program incorporating scenario work appropriate for all law enforcement audiences.
Who Should Attend?
This training is open to sworn law enforcement only.
Partial In-Service Credit
There is no PIC offered for virtual trainings.

There is no registration fee for this course.

Pre-registration is required. There is no cost to attend this training.
Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive a confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
